The 21st annual Leo Burnett Agency of the Year was celebrated in Chicago the evening of Dec. 6, 2018. The celebration recognized the brilliant creativity and outstanding business results that the network has generated for clients across the globe over the past year.

Phenomenal growth, stellar new business wins and impactful creative work earned the agency this coveted title for the third time, having previously won in 2003 and 2008. The campaign gives the audience a glimpse of the world through the eyes of someone suffering while others look on, asking audiences, “If it were your pain, would you share it.” “Post Wisely” ignited a national conversation around conscious social media usage and as a result, the UAE implemented new online media regulations to protect individuals’ privacy.
Samsung S9 “ESPN Sportscenter Emojified”

This innovative idea used Samsung S9 technology to transform the anchors of the world’s most-watched TV sports program into emojis. The results were unprecedented, reaching more than 29 million people and earning more comments than the Brazilian championship, champions league, Fifa World Cup or Neymar’s haircut.
Kraft/Heinz Country Time Lemonade “Country Time Legal-Ade”

When Leo Burnett Chicago caught wind of overzealous local authorities shutting down kids’ lemonade stands for operating without permits, the team took action. Country Time Lemonade cut through the red tape with Legal-Ade, which provided legal assistance to pay the cost of permits and fines up to $300. A creative solution that led to: the amendment of permit laws in Denver, Colo.; New York lawmakers introducing a bill to keep kid-run lemonade stands open; and more than 1 billion earned media impressions.
JAT Holdings “Petal Paint”

This revolutionary new paint uses pigment from the flowers left at the altars of Buddhist temples, creating a product that is used to restore temple art in both public and private spaces. The teams in Sri Lanka and Toronto worked in partnership to create this ingenious example of HumanKind thinking that honors tradition, religion and culture in a beautiful way.
